PROFESSIONAL STATUS
I am a Certified Life Coach.
I am also educated and trained as a
Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical and Counseling Psychology.
(Did you know ... according to Wikipedia, a PhD degree is higher than an MD?)
I am not a
licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, social worker or
marriage and family counselor. I do not practice as any of the licensed
mental health professions.
After completing all the
requirements and internships to qualify for taking the exams to become a
licensed psychologist, however, I made a life altering decision. I chose to go
back to school, graduate, and become a life coach instead.
I was convinced that I could
offer more rapid and lasting help to my clients by using proven
successful methods. These included life coaching, the multiple forms of
energy psychology and advanced hypnotherapy for emotional recovery.
I believe that this track has
more to offer my clients than the psychotherapeutic approaches of the
traditional "talk" therapy and medication.
I
strive for creating a positive future and a happier life for both my clients
and myself.
Code of Ethics:
As a Credentialed Life Coach, I adhere to the elements and principles of
ethical conduct under the
International Coach Federation Code of Ethics.
As a Life Member Status with the American Psychological Association
(APA), I also follow the
Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct rules.
